The former Cradle of Filth member continues expanding her cinematic metal direction through themes of heartbreak, healing, and psychological recovery
Lindsay Schoolcraft has unveiled the new single “Vague”, continuing the promotional rollout surrounding the upcoming studio album “Harrowing”, scheduled for release on June 19, 2026.
The release further develops the darker and emotionally vulnerable direction introduced through previous singles connected to the album.

Drawing from themes involving heartbreak, emotional paralysis, fading relationships, and self-reflection, “Vague” presents one of the most intimate and vulnerable performances in Lindsay Schoolcraft’s catalog.
Schoolcraft described the song as representing the emotional weight of hopelessness and the internal struggle associated with choosing personal healing while navigating emotionally destructive relationships.
The song additionally incorporates orchestral arrangements by Spencer Creaghan, whose string work intensifies the cinematic atmosphere surrounding the track.
“Harrowing” functions as a conceptual exploration of survival, healing, emotional rebirth, and recovery from narcissistic abuse.
Musically, the album combines:

while maintaining Schoolcraft’s atmospheric vocal style as the central element connecting the material.
The album was co-written and co-produced alongside Justin deBlieck, known for work involving:
