The Italian power metal band returns with its sixth studio album, continuing the saga introduced on ‘The Fallen King’ while expanding into darker territory ahead of an extensive North American and European tour
FROZEN CROWN have announced their sixth studio album, “The Legend of the Six Kings”, scheduled for release on October 2, 2026 through Napalm Records. The new record marks the next chapter in the band's evolving fantasy-inspired universe while presenting a darker atmosphere and a more narrative-driven approach than previous releases.
Rockum previously covered the release of War Hearts, the band's 2024 studio album and first release for Napalm Records. With “The Legend of the Six Kings”, Frozen Crown continue developing the conceptual world first introduced on their debut album “The Fallen King” while expanding the musical and visual identity established across their recent releases.
According to the band, the new album directly continues the storyline introduced on “The Fallen King”, revisiting the conflict between kings and tyrants that has formed part of Frozen Crown's mythology since the beginning of their career. The visual presentation surrounding the album further develops that world through new artwork, costumes, and imagery inspired by fantasy literature and classic heroic storytelling.
The album also reflects a period of growth within the band itself, with drummer and multi-instrumentalist Niso Tomasini taking a larger role in the songwriting process alongside vocalist Giada “Jade” Etro and guitarist Federico Mondelli. New guitarist Aleksandra Stamenkovic additionally makes her studio debut with the group.
While remaining firmly rooted in power metal, the album explores a broader emotional and atmospheric range than some of the band's previous releases. Throughout the record, Frozen Crown move between aggressive passages, large-scale choruses, melodic arrangements, and darker thematic moments while maintaining the direct songwriting approach that has become one of the group's defining characteristics.
One of the album's most notable inclusions is a power metal reinterpretation of “Iris”, originally recorded by Goo Goo Dolls in 1998. The band reimagines the song within its own musical framework while preserving the emotional core that made it one of the most recognizable rock ballads of its era.

Since emerging from the Italian power metal scene in the late 2010s, Frozen Crown have steadily built an international following through a combination of melodic songwriting, fantasy-inspired storytelling, and energetic live performances. Albums such as “The Fallen King,” “Crowned in Frost,” “Winterbane,” and “War Hearts” established the group among the most visible newer-generation power metal bands in Europe.
With “The Legend of the Six Kings,” Frozen Crown return to the mythology that helped define the band's early identity while presenting a more mature chapter in their ongoing story. Supported by extensive touring alongside Kamelot, Visions of Atlantis, Beast In Black, and Sonata Arctica, the album continues the evolution of a band that has become an increasingly visible presence within modern European power metal.
