The Swedish melodic hard rock band unveil the first single from their upcoming live album and DVD, capturing material from across ‘Kids In A Ghost Town’ and ‘Teenage Rebel’
NESTOR have released a live version of “On The Run” alongside an official concert video, offering the first preview of their upcoming live album “Live At Gothenburg Film Studios”, scheduled for release on August 14, 2026 through Napalm Records.
Originally released on the band's debut comeback album “Kids In A Ghost Town” (2021), “On The Run” became one of Nestor's most recognizable songs and accumulated millions of streams across digital platforms. The newly released live version captures the band's concert energy while preserving the melodic hard rock and AOR influences that helped establish their identity.

The live recording presents one of the most popular songs from Nestor's catalog in a concert setting, combining the band's melodic hooks, keyboard-driven arrangements, and arena rock influences with audience interaction and a more spontaneous performance style.
According to vocalist Tobias Gustavsson, the release serves as an introduction to the atmosphere captured throughout the live album and reflects the band's natural environment on stage.
Recorded at Gothenburg Film Studios, the release documents a band that has experienced a remarkable resurgence since returning in 2021.
Originally formed in 1989, Nestor remained inactive for decades before re-emerging with “Kids In A Ghost Town”, a comeback album that introduced the group to a new international audience. The success of that release led to festival appearances, headline tours, and performances alongside artists including KISS and Europe.
The live album draws material from both “Kids In A Ghost Town” and the band's second studio album “Teenage Rebel” (2024), presenting sixteen songs that document the group's development during its modern era.
Gustavsson noted that the live recording intentionally preserves the human aspects of a concert performance, including the imperfections and spontaneous moments that distinguish a live show from a studio production.

Formed in Sweden in 1989, Nestor became one of the most unusual success stories in modern melodic hard rock after returning more than three decades later with new material. Albums such as “Kids In A Ghost Town” and “Teenage Rebel” established the band among a new generation of listeners while embracing the melodic rock and AOR traditions associated with the 1980s.
With “Live At Gothenburg Film Studios,” Nestor document the first chapter of their modern career through a collection that spans their two studio albums and captures the band's concert sound. Beginning with “On The Run,” the release offers a snapshot of a group that has successfully transformed a long-awaited comeback into a sustained international presence.
