L.A. GUNS have released a live version of “Electric Gypsy”, offering the first preview of their upcoming concert album “Live From The Guild Theatre”, scheduled for release on July 3, 2026 via Cleopatra Records.

Recorded at the Guild Theatre during the launch event for the band's 2025 studio album “Leopard Skin”, the release captures a performance that spans multiple eras of the group's catalog, from their self-titled debut album through more recent material.

Originally appearing on “L.A. Guns” (1988), “Electric Gypsy” remains one of the band's best-known songs and a staple of its live performances.

The newly released version documents the song in a concert setting, featuring the current lineup led by vocalist Phil Lewis and guitarist Tracii Guns, whose partnership has remained central to the band's identity for decades.

Recorded almost exactly one year before its release, “Live From The Guild Theatre” presents a career-spanning set that combines classic songs with selections from “Leopard Skin”.

The album reflects a band that continues to maintain an active recording and touring schedule more than four decades after its formation.

Alongside songs from the debut album, the setlist revisits material from the landmark 1989 release “Cocked & Loaded”, including fan favorites such as “The Ballad of Jayne,” “Rip and Tear,” “I Wanna Be Your Man,” and “Never Enough.”

The concert also highlights newer material from “Leopard Skin,” documenting the positive reception that album received following its release.

Formed in Los Angeles in 1983, L.A. Guns became one of the defining bands of the Sunset Strip hard rock movement. Through albums such as “L.A. Guns,” “Cocked & Loaded,” and “Hollywood Vampires,” the band helped shape the late-1980s hard rock scene while maintaining an active recording career well into the 21st century.

Songs including “Electric Gypsy,” “The Ballad of Jayne,” and “Rip and Tear” remain among the most recognizable recordings associated with the era.

With “Live From The Guild Theatre,” L.A. Guns revisit material that spans more than four decades of recording history. Beginning with a new live version of “Electric Gypsy,” the release documents a band that continues performing both classic songs and newer material while maintaining its place within American hard rock.
