The Swedish progressive metal band unveil a duet with Dark Tranquillity and The Halo Effect vocalist Mikael Stanne days before the release of their fifteenth studio album
EVERGREY have unveiled “A Burning Flame”, the final single from their upcoming studio album “Architects Of A New Weave”, scheduled for release on June 5, 2026 through Napalm Records.
The song features a guest appearance by Mikael Stanne, known for his work with Dark Tranquillity, The Halo Effect, Grand Cadaver, and Cemetery Skyline. The collaboration brings together two of Gothenburg's most recognizable voices, with Stanne joining frontman Tom S. Englund throughout the track.
Rockum previously covered the album campaign in Evergrey Release 'The World Is On Fire' and Introduce Stephen Platt Ahead of New Album and Tour and later followed the second chapter in Evergrey Release 'Leaving The Emptiness' Ahead of 'Architects Of A New Weave' Album.
According to Tom S. Englund, the collaboration with Mikael Stanne developed naturally through a shared musical relationship that has existed for many years within the Gothenburg metal scene.
Englund described the track as a dialogue between two voices, with both singers building melodies around each other's performances. The result is one of the album's most distinctive moments and one of the few guest appearances featured on the record.
The song combines the melodic and progressive characteristics associated with Evergrey while highlighting the contrasting vocal approaches of Englund and Stanne.
Produced by Tom S. Englund and Vikram Shankar, and mixed by Adam "Nolly" Getgood, “Architects Of A New Weave” marks Evergrey's fifteenth studio album.
The record follows “Theories Of Emptiness” (2024) and continues a creative period that has seen the band maintain a consistent presence within modern progressive metal.
The album also introduces guitarist Stephen Platt as part of Evergrey's current lineup and arrives shortly before the band joins Iron Maiden for selected dates on the legendary group's Run For Your Lives World Tour.
