SINNER have released the new single and official video “Wait”, the first preview from the band’s upcoming final studio album “Boom Bang Goodbye”, scheduled for release on July 31, 2026 through RPM.

The song introduces the closing chapter of a career that began in 1982, with bassist, vocalist, songwriter and bandleader Mat Sinner guiding the German hard rock group through more than four decades of albums, tours and lineup changes.

“Wait” presents the more upbeat side of SINNER, built around melodic hard rock energy, strong choruses and the positive tone Mat Sinner wanted for the opening single of the album.

According to Sinner, the track was written as a good-time song meant to bring a more optimistic feeling instead of adding another dark reflection to the current social and political climate. He also pointed to the renewed chemistry with Michael Bormann, with whom he worked again after ten years, as one of the elements that helped shape the song.

The recording also features performances from drummer Moritz Müller and guitarist Alex Scholpp, while the final sound was mixed by Jacob Hansen at Hansen Studios in Denmark.

“Boom Bang Goodbye” is presented as the final full-length studio album from SINNER. It follows a discography of nineteen studio albums and arrives after the band’s previous release “Brotherhood.”

For this closing statement, Mat Sinner brought together longtime collaborators, former bandmates and several guests from across the international hard rock and metal scene. The album features Alex Scholpp on guitar and Moritz Müller on drums, along with contributions from Jim Müller of Kissin’ Dynamite, Lisa Müller, and former SINNER guitarist Mathias Dieth, who was part of the early albums “Comin’ Out Fighting” and “Dangerous Charm.”

The record also includes Magnus Karlsson, closely connected to Mat Sinner through Primal Fear, who contributes vocals to the album.

The guest list on “Boom Bang Goodbye” includes several names from hard rock, melodic metal and progressive rock:

Ronnie Romero — Rainbow

Michael Bormann

Michael Sadler — Saga

Björn Strid — Soilwork

Erik Mårtensson — Eclipse

Renan Zonta

Sascha Krebs

Magnus Karlsson

Mathias Dieth

Jim Müller — Kissin’ Dynamite

Lisa Müller

“Boom Bang Goodbye” was mixed and mastered by Jacob Hansen at Hansen Studios in Denmark. The album brings together the melodic hard rock foundation associated with SINNER and a modern production approach, keeping the focus on Mat Sinner’s songwriting identity while allowing the guest performers to add their own character to the final record.

Since forming in 1982, SINNER became one of the enduring names of German hard rock and melodic metal. Led by Mat Sinner, the band built a catalog that connected traditional hard rock, heavy metal and European melodic metal across several decades.

Beyond SINNER, Mat Sinner also became widely known through his long-running work with Primal Fear, as well as his role in the broader European metal scene as a musician, songwriter, producer and collaborator.

With “Wait,” SINNER introduce the final studio chapter of a career that has remained active since the early 1980s. “Boom Bang Goodbye” brings together longtime collaborators and international guests for a closing album built around Mat Sinner’s melodic hard rock identity, marking the end of a recording journey that has lasted more than forty years.
