The California heavy metal band unveils another preview of its upcoming Fireflash Records release as Sammy DeJohn and company prepare for European dates with Mindwars and The Troops Of Doom
RUTHLESS have released "Raging Violence", a new single from their upcoming album "Curse Of The Beast", scheduled for release on July 17, 2026 through Fireflash Records.
The song arrives alongside an official lyric video and continues the promotional campaign surrounding the band's next studio release.
Rockum previously covered the album announcement in Ruthless Release 'Curse Of The Beast' Single and Announce New Album Ahead of 2026 Tour, which introduced the record and the first material released from the project.
According to vocalist Sammy DeJohn, "Raging Violence" addresses contemporary issues including mass killings, riots, and concerns about the direction of modern society.
Discussing the song's lyrical theme, DeJohn explained that it reflects what he sees happening in the world today and warns about the consequences of failing to address ongoing violence and social unrest.
The track continues the band's long-running heavy metal approach while focusing on subject matter drawn from real-world events.
"Curse Of The Beast" follows "The Fallen", which was released in January 2024 through Fireflash Records.
The album was recorded with producer Ron Sandoval, who also handled the final mixing and mastering.
It marks the latest chapter in a catalog that stretches back to the band's earliest recordings in the 1980s.

Formed during the early years of the American heavy metal movement, Ruthless first emerged with the EP "Metal Without Mercy" in 1984 before releasing their debut full-length album "Discipline Of Steel" in 1986.
After returning to recording activity in the 2010s, the band expanded its catalog with "They Rise" (2015), "Evil Within" (2019), "The Fallen" (2024), and now "Curse Of The Beast".
The group's continued activity has connected multiple generations of traditional heavy metal listeners while maintaining a recording career that spans more than four decades.
Released ahead of "Curse Of The Beast", "Raging Violence" provides another look at Ruthless' upcoming studio album while documenting the latest chapter in a career that began during the American heavy metal movement of the 1980s. The single also arrives shortly before the band's return to European stages in support of the new release.
