The Nuclear Blast release follows 2021's 'Deceiver' as the Denver doom metal band prepares for North American and European dates with Necrofier, Wretched, Monolord and Celestial Sanctuary
KHEMMIS have officially released their new self-titled album, "Khemmis", through Nuclear Blast Records.
The record marks the band's first full-length studio release since "Deceiver" in 2021 and arrives alongside a new music video for "Gilded Chambers", directed by Alex Pace.
Rockum previously covered the album announcement in Khemmis Announce Self-Titled Album and Unveil 'Invocation Of The Dreamer' Video, when the band first revealed details of the release and shared its opening track.
To coincide with the album's release, Khemmis have premiered the official video for "Gilded Chambers".
According to vocalist and guitarist Phil Pendergast, the song was conceived around traditional heavy metal elements, including a drum-driven introduction and a chorus designed for audience participation during live performances.
The accompanying video documents the song's live debut in Denver and serves as the latest visual representation of the album.
The self-titled release follows "Deceiver" (2021) and represents the fifth full-length studio album in the band's discography.
The album features artwork created by Christopher Remmers and was recorded with the lineup of Ben Hutcherson, Phil Pendergast, Zach Coleman, and David Small.
According to the band, the material was developed with an emphasis on creating a focused and energetic collection of songs while retaining the musical characteristics that have defined Khemmis throughout their career.

Formed in Denver, Colorado, Khemmis first emerged with "Absolution" in 2015 before expanding their catalog through releases including "Hunted", "Desolation", "Doomed Heavy Metal", and "Deceiver".
Across more than a decade of recording and international touring, the band has become one of the most recognized names in contemporary doom metal, combining traditional heavy metal influences with epic songwriting and melodic arrangements.
The release of "Khemmis" adds another chapter to that history while documenting the band's first studio album of the second half of the 2020s.
Arriving five years after "Deceiver", "Khemmis" documents the next stage in the band's evolution while reaffirming the musical approach that has defined the group since its formation. The release also launches an extensive touring cycle that will bring the new material to audiences across North America and Europe throughout 2026.
