The French progressive heavy metal band reveal the first chapter of a science fiction concept album set in the year 5150 and scheduled for release on October 2, 2026
CRYSTAL THRONE have released their new single and lyric video, "Children Of The Ruins", while announcing details of their upcoming album, "Chantry Of Sacrifice", scheduled for release on October 2, 2026.
The song serves as the first preview of the band's second full-length studio album and introduces the central storyline that unfolds throughout the record.
Formed in Metz, France in 2019, Crystal Throne combine traditional heavy metal influences with progressive songwriting and science fiction-inspired themes.
According to information released by the band, "Chantry Of Sacrifice" is a concept album set in the year 5150.
The story follows Hÿldr, a war veteran and scientific project leader who awakens to discover that Earth has disappeared. As the last remaining human, she is given a final mission: travel back through time, uncover the cause of Earth's disappearance, and attempt to change the course of history.
The narrative forms the foundation of the album's nine songs.
"Children Of The Ruins" serves as the introduction to the album's storyline and provides the first look at the characters and events that shape the concept behind "Chantry Of Sacrifice".
Released alongside a lyric video, the track marks the beginning of the narrative journey that continues throughout the album.
