Samael Release New Single And Video 'Hail To The Sun'

SAMAEL have released their new single "Hail To The Sun", accompanied by an official music video.

The song follows the release of "Black Matter Manifesto" in 2025, which marked the band's first new music in eight years and signaled the beginning of a new chapter for the Swiss group.

According to the band, "Hail To The Sun" explores themes of perseverance, adversity, and embracing opportunities despite difficult circumstances.

Discussing the song, Samael commented:

"In troubled times, it is good to come together around something that is meaningful to us all... and what better thing than the sun, which is one but experienced differently by each of us? 'Hail To The Sun' is an anthem that will see you through the summer and keep you warm when winter comes. The song is about overcoming adversity and seizing life's opportunities."

Formed in 1987, SAMAEL have remained active for nearly four decades. Albums such as Worship Him (1990) and Passage (1996) helped establish the band's distinctive fusion of black metal, industrial elements, and atmospheric arrangements.

With "Hail To The Sun", the band continues the creative period that began with the release of "Black Matter Manifesto", adding another new composition to its recent catalog.
