Fifth studio album continues the saga of the McFife dynasty and arrives October 16 via Napalm Records
GLORYHAMMER have announced their fifth studio album, Space 1993: Wrath Of Kor-Virliath, scheduled for release on October 16 through Napalm Records.
The new album serves as a direct sequel to Space 1992: Rise Of The Chaos Wizards and continues the ongoing story of the McFife dynasty that has formed the foundation of the band's catalog.
According to the storyline, Space 1993: Wrath Of Kor-Virliath follows Angus McFife V, the Crown Prince of Fife, previously introduced in the 2022 single "Fly Away". The story sees the character traveling across space and time toward the distant future of 1993 while confronting a new threat linked to Kor-Virliath.
Produced by the band and mixed by Jacob Hansen, the album spans eleven tracks and incorporates elements of power metal, orchestral arrangements, synth-driven passages, and heavier influences while continuing the narrative approach associated with previous Gloryhammer releases.
The album opens with "Ultra Portam Astralem" and concludes with "The Celestial Warhost Of The Dundonian Empire Marches To Space Against The Dark Sorcerer: Final Assault On Battlemoon X-22", an extended composition approaching thirteen minutes in length.
Previously released as a standalone single, "On A Quest For Aberdeen" now appears as part of the album's wider narrative.
Rockum previously covered the release of the single in the article Gloryhammer Release Brand New Single 'On A Quest For Aberdeen' And Music Video, documenting the introduction of Angus McFife V and the next chapter in the band's ongoing narrative universe.
