Amberian Dawn Release 'Moon' Video Ahead Of Temptation's Gates Album

AMBERIAN DAWN have released the official video for "Moon", the fourth single from the band's upcoming album Temptation's Gates, scheduled for release on June 26 through Napalm Records.

The song continues the band's current transition with vocalist Nicole Willerton, whose arrival marks the first Amberian Dawn studio album with the new lineup.

"Moon" arrives just days before the release of Temptation's Gates. Rockum previously covered the introduction of Nicole Willerton and the band's renewed musical direction in the feature Amberian Dawn Introduce Nicole Willerton and Redefine Their Sound with 'Temptation's Gate'.

According to founder, guitarist, keyboardist and main composer Tuomas Seppälä, the song was written shortly after Willerton joined the band and developed around a darker atmosphere than much of the group's earlier material.

"I composed this song just a few weeks after we had recruited our new vocalist. From the very beginning, it carried an exceptionally dark and haunting atmosphere, and I wanted to preserve that exact feeling throughout the entire process. For the first time in my career, I decided to introduce growling vocals into the arrangement."

Seppälä also noted that "Moon" became personally significant because he returned to recording guitar leads himself during the process.

Willerton described the song as a reflection on hope and inner peace during difficult times.

"The song 'Moon' is about finding hope, tranquility, and inner peace in a world filled with destruction, greed, and suffering. The moon serves as a guiding light and a symbol of beauty, reminding us that even when life feels overwhelming or full of misery, it's important to cherish the simple beauties of life, such as nature and the freedom of the spirit."

Temptation's Gates is Amberian Dawn's first album with Willerton and follows the band's 2022 release Take A Chance - A Metal Tribute To ABBA. The new album brings the group back to original material while introducing heavier elements, including growled vocals and a more guitar-driven direction on selected tracks.
