The Portland industrial and nu metal band documents dependency and recovery on “Oxygen,” with music produced by Jonny Santos and Nikolas Roy Quemtri and a 2026 live run including Rock Fest in Cadott, Wisconsin
Amerakin Overdose have released “Oxygen”, a new track accompanied by an official music video. The single arrives as the band announces The Point Of No Return Shows, a run of July and August 2026 dates that includes a return to Rock Fest in Cadott, Wisconsin.
According to vocalist Cody Perez, “Oxygen” is centered on dependency and the difficulty of separating survival from destructive attachment.
“‘Oxygen’ is about the dangerous illusion of dependency—the belief that you can’t survive without someone or something, even when it’s destroying you. It’s about mistaking poison for air, and the struggle to break free from the things we cling to for survival.”
The song was produced by Jonny Santos of Spineshank and Nikolas Roy Quemtri, continuing the band’s recent collaboration with both producers.
The official music video for “Oxygen” was filmed and edited by Drumwell Media.
Amerakin Overdose described the 2026 dates as an opportunity to return to Rock Fest for the third time while also playing cities that are not frequent stops for the band.
“We are beyond thankful and excited to be a part of the big Rock Fest for the 3rd time. The festival is amazing. This gives us an excuse to play some shows along the way and play in some cities we don’t really get to play often. If we are playing anywhere within a couple of hours away, our show is worth making the drive. Come see us and let’s rage!”

Amerakin Overdose are based in Portland, Oregon. The press release describes the band as an industrial and nu metal act with masked visual presentation, electronic textures, groove-driven rhythms and vocal dynamics connected to influences such as Korn, Slipknot and Mudvayne.
Since their formation, Amerakin Overdose have released three full-length albums and toured across the United States. The press release lists past shared stages with Korn, Godsmack, Disturbed, Five Finger Death Punch, Chevelle, Shinedown, Lacuna Coil, Avatar, All That Remains and Slaughter To Prevail.
The band’s festival history, according to the source material, includes appearances at Rock Fest in Cadott, Wisconsin, Vans Warped Tour, The Gathering Of The Juggalos and Jamey Jasta’s Milwaukee Metalfest.
In July 2024, Amerakin Overdose released their third album, Artificial Infection. The band later began working with Jonny Santos of Spineshank and Silent Civilian, who is producing their upcoming fourth album.
The band’s 2025 releases included a cover and video for Christina Aguilera’s “Genie In A Bottle” in March 2025, followed by “Point Of No Return” in May 2025 and “Nothing (Without You)”, featuring Jonny Santos, in July 2025.
On November 28, 2025, Amerakin Overdose released “Feliz Navidad”, produced by Jonny Santos and co-produced by Nikolas Roy Quemtri.
The band opened 2026 with “Time Bomb”, a single and video released on January 23, 2026 featuring guest vocals from Tauren Blackman.
On April 29, 2026, Amerakin Overdose released “My Endless Battle”, described in the press release as the band’s first acoustic song. The track features Jonny Santos, who produced and performed on both the song and the video. The source material also states that the video was the band’s first unmasked performance video and addresses mental health and suicide, connected to Cody Perez and his recovery journey.
