Styx and Chicago will bring Styx & Chicago: The Windy Cities Tour - All The Hits...Your Kind of Tour to Toronto, Ontario on Tuesday, July 28, 2026. The concert is scheduled for RBC Amphitheatre, with Styx closing the Toronto show.
The Toronto date is part of a 2026 summer run that pairs two bands with deep roots in American rock history. The tour begins on July 13, 2026 in West Palm Beach, Florida and concludes on September 6, 2026 in Los Angeles, California.
For Styx, the tour also arrives during the extended cycle for Circling From Above, the band’s eighteenth studio album.

Styx released Circling From Above on May 28, 2025 as part of the launch of the band’s Brotherhood of Rock summer tour with The Kevin Cronin Band and Don Felder. The album was made available on CD at tour stops before its digital release on July 18, 2025.
The record was released through Alpha Dog 2T/UMe and is the band’s eighteenth studio album. The source material describes Circling From Above as a 13-track, 41-minute album focused on the human experience through the intersecting lenses of technology and nature.
Circling From Above features contributions from all seven members of Styx: founding guitarist/vocalist James “JY” Young, guitarist/vocalist Tommy Shaw, original bassist Chuck Panozzo, drummer Todd Sucherman, keyboardist/vocalist Lawrence Gowan, guitarist/vocalist Will Evankovich and bassist Terry Gowan.
The album was produced by Will Evankovich, who also produced The Mission and Crash Of The Crown before becoming an official member of Styx in 2022.
All 13 songs on Circling From Above were written in different combinations by Tommy Shaw, Will Evankovich and Lawrence Gowan.
Speaking about the beginning of a new album, Tommy Shaw connected the writing process to storytelling.
“When you start writing an album, there's generally something that piques your imagination, and all of a sudden, you’re a storyteller starting with the seed of a story,” Shaw said. “A good song is like a straight road — it’ll get you to the next place.”
At tour stops, Styx continues to support local organizations through Rock to the Rescue, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by the band. The organization supports grassroots groups connected to music education, health and well-being, disaster relief, aid, animal welfare and rescue.
According to the source material, Rock to the Rescue works with local nonprofit organizations at shows, including fundraising through drawings for a signed Styx guitar. A percentage of those sales is given to participating local organizations.
Rock to the Rescue began in 2001 after the September 11 terrorist attacks. The initiative was created by Tommy Shaw of Styx and Kevin Cronin of REO Speedwagon. The early Volunteers For America concert events in Dallas and Atlanta included artists such as Bad Company, Journey, Survivor, Kansas and Lynyrd Skynyrd, and raised more than $775,000 for victims of 9/11 and the Port Authority Police Department in New York City.
Styx have continued releasing new studio material in recent years, with The Mission arriving in 2017, Crash Of The Crown in 2021 and Circling From Above in 2025.
The Toronto concert places the band’s current studio period alongside a tour built around the shared live histories of Styx and Chicago. For the Toronto date, the show also carries a local connection through Lawrence Gowan, the Canadian singer and keyboardist who has been part of Styx since the late 1990s.

The show connects the band’s long-running catalog with its newest studio chapter, placing the Toronto audience inside a period that includes new music, touring history and the ongoing community work of Rock to the Rescue.
