The Canadian progressive sci-fi metal band share a new Costin Chioreanu video from Symphonique while Eric “E-Force” Forrest fills in for Denis “Snake” Bélanger on the 2026 European tour
Voïvod have released a new video for “Holographic Thinking (Symphonique)”, a song from the band’s Symphonique live album with the Quebec Symphony Orchestra. The video was created by Costin Chioreanu of Twilight13Media.
The release arrives as Voïvod begin their next European tour run, which features former member Eric Forrest, also known as E-Force, as stand-in vocalist for Denis “Snake” Bélanger, who is attending to a family matter.
Rockum previously covered this live album chapter in Voïvod Release 'Symphonique' Live Album With Quebec Symphony Orchestra as European Tour Begins and Voïvod Announce 'Symphonique' Live Release and Share 'Forgotten In Space (Symphonique)' Ahead of 2026 European Tour.
Rockum’s archive also includes Voivod's Daniel 'Chewy' Mongrain on Lost Machine – Live – Interview with Gino Alache, as well as radio reports featuring Voïvod in Tarja, Lex Legion, Accept, Europe, Xandria and Voivod Featured on Gino Alache's Rockum Radio Show and DevilDriver, Venom, Soulfly, Voivod and Armored Saint Featured on Gino Alache's Rockum Radio Show. The earlier Rockum report VOIVOD Delivers Epic Orchestral Performance With Quebec Symphony documented the orchestral performance that later became part of the Symphonique release cycle.
“Holographic Thinking (Symphonique)” appears on Symphonique, the band’s live release recorded with the Quebec Symphony Orchestra. The new video was created by Costin Chioreanu and Twilight13Media.
Drummer and founding member Michel “Away” Langevin described the video as another collaboration with Chioreanu and connected it to the band’s live performance with the orchestra.
“And now, another mesmerizing hand-drawn video by our friend Costin Chioreanu, for the song ‘Holographic Thinking,’ live with the Quebec Symphony Orchestra,” Langevin said. “As usual, Costin captured the dystopian vibe of our music perfectly, adding his galactic touch!”
For the 2026 European tour run, Eric Forrest, also known as E-Force, is filling in for Denis “Snake” Bélanger. The announcement states that Snake needs to attend to a family matter during the summer.
E-Force was previously the lead singer and bass player in Voïvod from 1994 to 2000. He commented on returning to help the band during the tour.
“Greetings to all! I am honoured and blessed to be asked to fill in for Snake this summer, to keep the Voïvod fans, band, legacy in motion!” Forrest said. “I’m very thrilled to be part of this tour. I never ever imagined this, but I’m happy and motivated to step in and take care of business... Can't wait to see you all! Merci, santé!”
Michel “Away” Langevin also addressed the lineup situation for the tour.
“This video single comes right on time for our European summer tour. For this run, E-Force will come to the rescue and fill in for Snake, who needs to attend to a family matter at home. We can’t wait to see everybody on the road this summer! We Are Connected…”
