The British metal band enter a new independent era with “Sx,” produced by Carl Bown, ahead of their biggest European headline tour in February 2027
Bury Tomorrow have entered a new chapter with the release of “Sx,” a new single issued alongside the launch of the band’s independent imprint, DEA†H Records.
The single follows the band’s run of four albums with Sony Music and introduces a new phase built around creative freedom, independence and control over the band’s music, vision and community.
Rockum previously covered the band in Bury Tomorrow Share New Music Video For The Song Better Below, documenting an earlier chapter in the band’s modern era.
“Sx” is short for “Symptom.” The track explores the daily struggle between light and darkness, certainty and doubt, framing human identity as something shaped by spectrums rather than absolutes.
Vocalist Daniel Winter-Bates described the song as the right introduction to the band’s new phase.
“‘Sx’ is the perfect way to introduce this new chapter,” Winter-Bates said. “It's about grappling with the good and the bad every day, realizing that none of us are entirely one thing or another. Life exists in shades, not absolutes, and we all carry bones we bury deep.”
The launch of DEA†H Records marks a major shift for Bury Tomorrow. The imprint gives the band a platform to release music on their own terms after their previous major-label chapter.
The source material presents DEA†H Records as more than a business move. It is described as a framework for complete creative control, allowing Bury Tomorrow to shape every part of their next era without compromise.
“Sx” was produced by Carl Bown, whose credits include work connected to Sleep Token and Bullet For My Valentine.
The song pushes Bury Tomorrow into darker and more electronic territory while keeping the heavy foundation that has defined the band. The source material connects the single to industrial music, darkwave and electronic influences, describing it as dark, driving and gothic in tone.
Bury Tomorrow released the official video for “Sx.”
The video accompanies the launch of DEA†H Records and introduces the visual identity of the band’s independent era.
The release arrives alongside news of Bury Tomorrow’s biggest headline tour to date. The European run is scheduled for February 2027 and includes O2 Academy Brixton in London.
The tour is expected to see the band perform to more than 30,000 fans across the continent. The announced support lineup includes Stick To Your Guns, Elwood Stray and Windwaker.
Bury Tomorrow have built their career around modern metal, melodic force and a balance between heaviness and emotional clarity. With “Sx,” the band move into a new phase that emphasizes independence and sonic expansion.
The launch of DEA†H Records also positions the band outside the traditional label structure, giving them a direct platform for future music and creative decisions.
