The Portuguese gothic metal band will return to North America as special guests of Cradle Of Filth, with Worm Gloom and Black Satellite also on the bill
Moonspell have announced their return to North America as special guests of Cradle Of Filth. The fall tour will also feature Worm Gloom and Black Satellite, bringing the Portuguese gothic metal band back to the United States and Canada after the release of Far From God.
The tour will include material from Far From God, fan favorites and songs connected to the 30th anniversary of Irreligious, the band’s landmark 1996 album.
Moonspell will join Cradle Of Filth for a North American run beginning on September 29, 2026 in San Diego, California and ending on October 26, 2026 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The tour also features Worm Gloom and Black Satellite.
Vocalist Fernando Ribeiro connected the tour to the long history between Moonspell and Cradle Of Filth.
“Moonspell and Cradle of Filth, came a long way...” Ribeiro said. “We first played together in 1994 and since then we've sharing stages all around the globe. It's also our return to the North America and we sure want to make it count!”
Ribeiro also said the tour will connect the new album with the band’s earlier history.
“We'll be promoting our new album Far from God, the 30th anniversary of Irreligious and will go deep into our history and legacy. See you under the spell!”
Far From God was released on July 3, 2026 through Napalm Records. The album follows five years of creative searching and marks a return to the darker gothic metal identity that has defined much of Moonspell’s history.
The album entered the charts at No. 3 in Portugal, No. 19 in Austria, No. 27 in Germany, No. 46 in Switzerland and reached No. 22 on the French Rock & Metal Albums Charts.
Far From God was produced with Jaime Gomez Arellano, whose credits include work connected to Paradise Lost, Sólstafir and Ghost. The source material presents the album as a contemporary gothic metal statement that reconnects with the darker spirit of the band’s classic era.

Moonspell are one of Portugal’s most important metal exports and have long been associated with gothic metal, dark atmosphere and a dramatic lyrical identity.
The band’s return to North America with Cradle Of Filth also reconnects two acts whose histories have crossed since the 1990s. Ribeiro’s statement notes that the bands first played together in 1994, placing this tour within a long-running relationship between two European names in dark metal.
The North American dates also arrive during the 30th anniversary period of Irreligious, one of Moonspell’s key albums and a central release in the band’s 1990s identity.

Through their North American tour with Cradle Of Filth, Moonspell bring Far From God into a live setting while also revisiting the legacy of Irreligious three decades later. The run connects the band’s current Napalm Records era with the long history of European gothic and extreme metal that has linked Moonspell and Cradle Of Filth since the 1990s.
