The New York metal veterans will mark the September 18 release of their first studio album in ten years with a late-night appearance at Guestroom Records following Louder Than Life.
Anthrax will mark the September 18, 2026 release of their 12th studio album, Cursum Perficio, with a midnight signing at Guestroom Records in Louisville, Kentucky.
The event will take place immediately after the band’s September 17 appearance at Louder Than Life. Scott Ian, Charlie Benante, Frank Bello, Joey Belladonna and Jonathan Donais are scheduled to meet fans beginning at 12:01 a.m. on September 18 at the Bardstown Road record store.
Space for the signing is limited. According to the event announcement, eligibility is tied to copies of Cursum Perficio reserved through Guestroom Records in advance.
Released through Megaforce Records, Cursum Perficio is Anthrax’s first full-length studio album since For All Kings in 2016, which reached the Top 10 of the Billboard 200.
The album title is presented by the band as a Latin phrase meaning “My journey has come to an end,” “My journey is over,” or “I complete my journey,” connecting the record with Anthrax’s 45-year history.
Anthrax Build Toward Cursum Perficio
Rockum first covered the new album in May when Anthrax announced Cursum Perficio and released “It’s For The Kids”.
The track introduced the record through the fast riffs, aggressive rhythm section and melodic chorus associated with several periods of the band’s catalogue.
That was followed in July by “The Edge Of Perfection,” the second song released from Cursum Perficio.
Built around cleaner guitar passages before moving into heavier sections and blastbeats, “The Edge Of Perfection” revealed another part of the album’s musical range.
Recorded at Dave Grohl’s Studio 606
Anthrax began working seriously on Cursum Perficio during 2022, recording material at Dave Grohl’s Studio 606 in Los Angeles.
The album was produced by Jay Ruston together with Anthrax.
According to the band, the sessions were approached with an awareness of their own musical history while developing material that expands on the sound established across previous records.
The resulting eleven-song album brings together the current lineup of Joey Belladonna on vocals, Scott Ian and Jonathan Donais on guitars, Frank Bello on bass and Charlie Benante on drums.

As Cursum Perficio approaches its September 18 release, the Louisville signing places the album’s arrival directly alongside Anthrax’s live schedule, while the previously released “It’s For The Kids” and “The Edge Of Perfection” have already established two different sides of the band’s first studio record in a decade.
