The Swedish melodic hard rock band will release its first live album on August 14 through Napalm Records, with collector formats including limited 2LP vinyl, CD/Blu-Ray digisleeve and a 16-track live set
NESTOR have released a live version of “Teenage Rebel” as the final single from their upcoming live album, Live at Gothenburg Film Studios, scheduled for release on August 14, 2026 through Napalm Records.
The new live version arrives with an official video and revisits “Teenage Rebel,” the title track from the band’s 2024 studio album. That album brought the Swedish melodic hard rock group international chart visibility, including No. 12 on the Official German Album Charts and No. 19 in Sweden.
For Rockum, the strongest angle is not only the single. Live at Gothenburg Film Studios now connects with a broader Rockum archive around NESTOR, from the band’s Teenage Rebel era to previous coverage of “On The Run” and the original announcement of the live album.
Live at Gothenburg Film Studios will be released in multiple physical formats, including 2LP gatefold vinyl editions and a CD + Blu-Ray digisleeve edition.
The most limited edition is the 2LP Gatefold Marbled Translucent Reptile version, available exclusively through the Napalm Records online shop and limited to 300 units.
That makes the release more than a standard live album. For collectors, it becomes a shelf item built around vinyl color variants, video content, physical packaging and a live document from one of the most visible newer names in European melodic hard rock.
Rockum has followed NESTOR through the Teenage Rebel era, including a 2024 interview with bassist Marcus Åblad conducted by Gino Alache.

Rockum also covered the announcement of Live at Gothenburg Film Studios as the band’s first live album and the earlier live version of “On The Run.”

“Teenage Rebel” was originally released as the title track of NESTOR’s 2024 studio album.
The live version keeps the song’s 1980s-inspired hard rock identity while placing it in a performance setting, with melodic guitar work, AOR textures and a chorus built for audience participation.
Vocalist Tobias Gustavsson describes the song as being connected to lost youth, carelessness, fearlessness and living every day as if there is no tomorrow. In the live version, that theme connects directly with the band’s nostalgic sound and stage energy.
Live at Gothenburg Film Studios documents NESTOR’s live sound across material from the band’s modern catalog.
The 16-track set includes songs connected to Kids In A Ghost Town and Teenage Rebel, including “Firesign,” “On The Run” and “Teenage Rebel.”
Rather than presenting the band only through studio production, the live album captures the human side of the performance: the movement, the stage energy, the small imperfections and the feeling of a band playing together in real time.
That point is especially important for a group like NESTOR, whose identity is tied to classic rock tradition, melodic choruses, analog nostalgia and the emotional language of 1980s hard rock.
Tobias Gustavsson has framed Live at Gothenburg Film Studios as a live performance with the quirks and imperfections that make it human.
That idea gives the release extra weight in the current music climate. At a time when artificial intelligence, editing tools and digital perfection are part of the wider music conversation, NESTOR are presenting a live album built around performance, imperfection and human presence.
For a band whose sound is deeply connected to classic AOR and 1980s melodic hard rock, that human element is part of the appeal.

Live at Gothenburg Film Studios gives NESTOR a physical live document at a key point in the band’s modern career.
The group originally formed in Sweden in 1989, but its international rise came decades later, after returning with new music in the 2020s. That comeback story has become part of the band’s identity, connecting older melodic rock tradition with a newer audience for AOR-influenced hard rock.
For collectors, the release is especially relevant because it gives the band’s modern catalog a live treatment across multiple physical formats. The limited vinyl edition, the CD + Blu-Ray digisleeve and the live video component make the album more than a digital release or a simple video campaign.
For Rockum, it also strengthens an archive already connected to NESTOR through previous coverage and the 2024 Marcus Åblad interview with Gino Alache.
For collectors, Live at Gothenburg Film Studios is not only NESTOR’s first live album. It is a physical-media release built around 2LP vinyl, CD + Blu-Ray, limited packaging and a 16-track live set that documents the Swedish band’s 1980s-inspired hard rock catalog in performance. For Rockum, it also continues a story already connected to the site through previous NESTOR coverage and the 2024 interview with Marcus Ablad conducted by Gino Alache. With “Teenage Rebel” now released as a live video, the band turn a single moment into a broader collector story for fans of melodic hard rock, AOR and modern physical formats.
