The power metal band continues the road to its fifth album Space 1993: Wrath Of Kor-Virliath, out October 16 through Napalm Records, with an animated video, a direct sequel to Space 1992 and a European release tour with Majestica and Arion
GLORYHAMMER have released “Die With A Sword In My Hand”, the latest single and animated video from their upcoming fifth studio album, Space 1993: Wrath Of Kor-Virliath, scheduled for release on October 16, 2026 through Napalm Records.
The new track continues the story of Angus McFife V as the fictional Space Kingdom of Fife faces another intergalactic conflict, while the accompanying animated video extends the visual narrative surrounding the album.
Space 1993: Wrath Of Kor-Virliath is a direct sequel to GLORYHAMMER’s 2015 album Space 1992: Rise Of The Chaos Wizards and continues the long-running McFife storyline that has connected the band’s albums, characters and live presentation.
Rockum has followed the new album campaign from its beginning. In June, GLORYHAMMER announced Space 1993: Wrath Of Kor-Virliath and its October release through Napalm Records, establishing the album as the next major chapter in the band’s fictional universe.
“Die With A Sword In My Hand” appears as the fourth track on Space 1993: Wrath Of Kor-Virliath.
Inside the album’s storyline, Angus McFife V discovers that Aberdeen has been overrun by demons, pushing the character deeper into the conflict that drives the new record.
Musically, the track keeps GLORYHAMMER close to the high-energy power metal foundation of the band while using gang vocals and a direct chorus designed around the song’s central battle theme.
The animated video follows the same narrative approach, presenting the new chapter as part of the continuing visual world surrounding Space 1993 rather than as an unrelated standalone video.
The arrival of “Die With A Sword In My Hand” continues an album campaign that Rockum has already documented across several releases.
In July, GLORYHAMMER released “Ultimate Sacrifice” as another video preview from Space 1993: Wrath Of Kor-Virliath, introducing more of the conflict surrounding Kor-Virliath and the Space Kingdom of Fife.
The album also brings “On A Quest For Aberdeen” into the main storyline.
That song originally appeared as a standalone release in 2025, when Rockum covered GLORYHAMMER’s release of “On A Quest For Aberdeen” and its accompanying music video.
Its inclusion on the new album now gives the earlier single a defined place inside the Space 1993 narrative and connects material released across different years into the same larger story.
One of the most important elements of Space 1993: Wrath Of Kor-Virliath is its direct connection to Space 1992: Rise Of The Chaos Wizards.
Released in 2015, Space 1992 established one of the central chapters in GLORYHAMMER’s science-fiction and fantasy mythology.
More than a decade later, the new album returns directly to that timeline.
The story follows Angus McFife V, the Crown Prince of Fife who previously appeared in the 2022 single “Fly Away.”
His journey across spacetime eventually takes him toward the distant future of 1993, extending the deliberately exaggerated chronology that has become part of GLORYHAMMER’s identity.
Rather than treating each album as an isolated collection of songs, the band continues using characters, locations and recurring conflicts to connect its catalog.
Space 1993: Wrath Of Kor-Virliath contains 11 tracks and expands beyond a single power metal formula.
According to Napalm Records, the album moves through classic power metal, thrash influences, high-energy synth rock and large-scale orchestral arrangements while retaining the melodic songwriting associated with GLORYHAMMER.
The album was produced by GLORYHAMMER and mixed by Jacob Hansen, whose credits include work with Volbeat and Amaranthe.
That combination gives the record another connection to the wider European metal scene while keeping production control inside the band itself.
The album begins with “Ultra Portam Astralem,” establishing the cinematic setting before “Ultimate Sacrifice” introduces the renewed threat surrounding Kor-Virliath.
“On A Quest For Aberdeen” then places Angus McFife V more firmly inside the album narrative before “Die With A Sword In My Hand” reveals Aberdeen under demonic attack.
From there, “Silver Talon” turns toward the galactic fleet, while “Starfighters Of Leuchars” brings the Space Knights of Crail into the conflict.
“Warriors Of Auchtermuchty” returns to territory connected with Zargothrax, while “Pax Galactica,” “Demonic Devotion” and “Hammer Of Fate” move the narrative toward its conclusion.
The album finishes with “The Celestial Warhost Of The Dundonian Empire Marches To Space Against The Dark Sorcerer: Final Assault On Battlemoon X-22,” a composition approaching 13 minutes and divided into four theatrical chapters.
COLLECTORS / FORMATS WATCH
Space 1993: Wrath Of Kor-Virliath is also receiving a substantial physical-media campaign through Napalm Records.
The label announced multiple vinyl configurations, a Digipak CD and limited collector editions.
Among the most elaborate editions is a Wooden Boxset containing the Digipak CD, five miniatures, a 7-inch bonus vinyl record and an autographed card.
The box was limited to 700 copies worldwide through the Napalm Records online store and is currently listed as sold out.
A limited White Label Edition featuring a test pressing, 24-page LP-sized booklet, certificate and cover card is also listed as sold out.
Other configurations include colored vinyl editions, a standard black LP, Digipak CD and digital release.
For GLORYHAMMER collectors, the physical campaign extends the album’s fictional universe beyond the music itself through artwork, miniatures, packaging and limited editions.

“On A Quest For Aberdeen” first appeared in 2025. Space 1993: Wrath Of Kor-Virliath was formally announced in June 2026. “Ultimate Sacrifice” followed in July, and the new single now moves the storyline another step toward the album’s October release.
