The companion to Ghost’s SKELETOUR concert film arrives August 27 via Loma Vista after being recorded across two sold-out 2025 shows at Mexico City’s Palacio de los Deportes
Ghost will release 2 BIG TO RIG (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) digitally on August 27, 2026 through Loma Vista Recordings, preserving 19 performances recorded during the band’s 2025 concerts at Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City.
The soundtrack accompanies 2 BIG TO RIG, Ghost’s second feature film, which begins a limited worldwide theatrical run on August 26, including IMAX screenings where available.
The first preview from the soundtrack, “Umbra (Live from Mexico City 2025),” is available now alongside a performance video.
The film was directed by Amir Chamdin and produced by Tobias Forge, Kristen Mulderig, Rick Sales, Matilda E. Almeida and Jessica Roulston.
The performances documented in 2 BIG TO RIG were captured across two sold-out Ghost concerts at Palacio de los Deportes in 2025. According to the band’s press information, the two shows drew nearly 40,000 people combined.
Three Mexico City performances had originally been planned. The first night was canceled because of illness, leaving the remaining two concerts as the shows ultimately filmed for the project. That circumstance also became part of the reason behind the film. Ghost says 2 BIG TO RIG was created in part to bring the SKELETOUR production to audiences in territories where staging the complete show was not logistically possible, as well as to fans affected by the canceled Mexico City performance.
The film also serves as a document of the SKELETOUR WORLD TOUR, which concluded in February 2026.
“Umbra (Live from Mexico City 2025)” is the first soundtrack recording released ahead of the full 19-song set.
The original studio version appears on Ghost’s 2025 album SKELETÁ, while the new recording captures Papa V Perpetua and the Nameless Ghouls performing the song during the Mexico City concerts.
The soundtrack reaches across material from Ghost’s six studio albums and also includes non-album songs including “Mary on a Cross,” “Kiss the Go-Goat” and “The Future Is a Foreign Land.”
Other songs represented include “Cirice,” “Year Zero,” “He Is,” “Rats,” “Dance Macabre,” “Square Hammer,” “Satanized” and “Lachryma.”

The significance of 2 BIG TO RIG is straightforward. The film and soundtrack preserve two complete-scale Mexico City performances from the final phase of Ghost’s SKELETOUR, documenting the live presentation surrounding SKELETÁ while drawing from the band’s wider catalog. The circumstances surrounding those concerts also remain part of the record: three nights were planned, one was canceled because of illness, and the two remaining sold-out performances became the source material for the film.
With the tour itself having ended in February 2026, 2 BIG TO RIG now functions as an audiovisual record of that particular Ghost touring cycle rather than simply another live single campaign.
