Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band are turning the final night of their 2026 American tour into an official concert-film archive.

Land of Hope and Dreams American Tour (Philadelphia Freedom Cut) begins rolling out September 9 with video of the first seven songs performed at Philadelphia’s Xfinity Mobile Arena on May 30, 2026. The entire concert was filmed, and three additional segments are scheduled to follow in sequence before the end of the year.

The Philadelphia performance closed a 20-show, 18-location U.S. tour that had begun in April and included stops in Phoenix, Newark, Chicago, Atlanta, New York, Boston, Washington and other American cities.

Rather than releasing disconnected clips from the tour, the Philadelphia Freedom Cut is designed to preserve the final concert chronologically.

The first installment begins with Springsteen’s opening remarks and continues through “Streets of Minneapolis.”

The seven-song sequence is:

01. War
02. Born in the U.S.A.
03. Death to My Hometown
04. Clampdown
05. No Surrender
06. Darkness on the Edge of Town
07. Streets of Minneapolis

Two of those performances reach outside Springsteen’s own catalog.

“War” is the Barrett Strong and Norman Whitfield composition famously recorded by Edwin Starr, while “Clampdown” comes from The Clash’s 1979 album London Calling.

The remaining selections connect different periods of Springsteen’s career, from Darkness on the Edge of Town and Born in the U.S.A. to Wrecking Ball and the 2026 song “Streets of Minneapolis.”

The May 30 finale ultimately stretched to 27 songs.

After the opening sequence included in the first video installment, the concert continued with material including “The Promised Land,” “Hungry Heart,” “Youngstown,” “American Skin (41 Shots),” “Because the Night,” “The Rising,” “Badlands,” “Land of Hope and Dreams,” “Born to Run,” “Dancing in the Dark” and “Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out.”

Springsteen’s official site says the remaining footage will be issued in three additional chronological segments, eventually documenting the complete Philadelphia finale rather than reducing it to a conventional highlights reel.

That approach gives the project longer-term value as a record of the tour itself: set sequence, musicians, stage production and the political commentary that Springsteen deliberately incorporated into the performances.

The tour also featured Tom Morello as special guest at every one of its 20 concerts.

Springsteen was joined by E Street Band members Roy Bittan, Nils Lofgren, Garry Tallent, Stevie Van Zandt and Max Weinberg, along with Soozie Tyrell, Jake Clemons and Charlie Giordano. The expanded touring ensemble also included the E Street Horns and Percussion and the E Street Choir. Morello’s presence throughout the full American run made him part of the tour rather than a one-night Philadelphia cameo.

The Land of Hope and Dreams American Tour was also explicitly political.

Springsteen used the concerts to speak about the U.S. Constitution, civil rights and his opposition to the administration in power, and the Philadelphia film preserves those remarks as part of the performance rather than editing them away. That context matters historically regardless of agreement or disagreement with Springsteen’s politics. The Philadelphia Freedom Cut is being presented as a document of what the 2026 tour actually was: an E Street Band rock show combined with Springsteen’s public commentary on contemporary American politics.

The film was directed by Chris Hilson and Thom Zimny. Zimny and Sam Shapiro handled editing, while Springsteen, Jon Landau, Zimny and Adrienne Gerard served as producers.

Jon Altschiller mixed the sound, John Cooper recorded it, and Jeff Ravitz and Todd Ricci handled the lighting design. The release is dedicated to the memory of Dave Marsh.

Concert videos often survive as isolated songs removed from the nights on which they were performed. The Philadelphia Freedom Cut is taking a different approach.

By releasing the May 30 finale sequentially, Springsteen and The E Street Band are preserving an entire concert from the 2026 Land of Hope and Dreams American Tour: the music, lineup, guest appearances, staging and political context of that particular moment.

The first seven songs establish the opening chapter. Three more installments will eventually complete the picture. What begins in September as a collection of performance videos will ultimately become a full visual archive of the final night of Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band’s 2026 American tour.
