The Queen drummer returns with his seventh solo album, featuring the Ndlovu Youth Choir, a John Lennon cover and a new music video ahead of six UK concerts in September 2026
Roger Taylor, drummer and songwriter of Queen, has released his seventh solo studio album, Violence Insane in a Beautiful World, on September 18, 2026, through Columbia Records. The 10-track record marks his first solo album since Outsider in 2021.
The album was produced by Taylor and longtime collaborator Joshua J. Macrae, with Taylor handling the songwriting, lead vocals and much of the instrumentation. The record includes a cover of John Lennon’s “Jealous Guy”, the only song on the album not written by Taylor.
The Ndlovu Youth Choir from South Africa appears on three tracks: “A Beautiful World,” “Come On Summer (It’s Party Time)” and “A Great Big Beautiful World (reprise).” The choir previously attracted international attention with its Zulu-language interpretation of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody.”
The album's release was accompanied by a new music video for “A Beautiful World,” created in collaboration with eco-designers VIN + OMI. The song and video premiered at the duo’s ANARCHY fashion show during London Fashion Week, where Taylor also made his runway debut.
