The rising country singer earns her first U.S. radio chart-topper after 22 weeks, generating 34.2 million audience impressions as the Atlantic Outpost single also reaches No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100
Stella Lefty has earned her first No. 1 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart with “Boston,” reaching the top of the ranking dated September 26, 2026, after 22 weeks. The single generated 34.2 million radio audience impressions during the September 11–17 tracking period, an 8% increase from the previous week, according to Luminate.
The achievement makes “Boston” the fastest debut Country Airplay No. 1 by a solo female artist without credited collaborators in more than 22 years, since Gretchen Wilson's “Redneck Woman” reached the summit in 12 weeks in 2004. Lefty's single also becomes the sixth-fastest chart debut by a solo-billed female artist to reach No. 1 in the 36-year history of Billboard's Country Airplay ranking.
The song's success extends beyond country radio. “Boston” also topped the Country Aircheck/Mediabase Airplay chart and reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, behind Ella Langley's “Choosin' Texas.” According to the September 21 announcement, the single has accumulated more than 486 million streams worldwide and earned nominations for Best Country and Song of Summer at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards.
“Boston” appears on Lefty's debut studio album, Long Way Home, released August 21, 2026, through Atlantic Outpost. The album also features “Something to Lose,” her collaboration with Vincent Mason, which has entered the Billboard Hot 100 and Country Airplay charts. “Boston” additionally marks the first Country Airplay No. 1 for Atlantic Outpost, the label launched in 2025.
Lefty is scheduled to perform at Bourbon & Beyond in Louisville, Kentucky, on September 26, before beginning her North American headlining Long Way Home Tour in November, with stops including Los Angeles, Dallas, Atlanta, New York, Boston, Nashville and Chicago.
