The “All Night Long” and “Hello” singer was photographed in Beverly Hills on September 19 after undergoing precautionary cardiac tests, with his next concert scheduled for September 26 in San Francisco
Lionel Richie has made his first reported public appearance since a three-day hospitalization following his August 29 concert in St. Louis, Missouri. The 77-year-old singer was photographed attending a dinner party at Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills, California, on September 19, 2026, accompanied by his girlfriend, Lisa Parigi.
Richie was seen smiling and giving a thumbs-up to photographers outside the restaurant. His appearance came after he voluntarily checked into a St. Louis hospital following his August 29 performance, where he underwent precautionary cardiac tests in the intensive care unit. The singer was discharged on September 2 and returned to Los Angeles, with PEOPLE reporting at the time that he was doing well.
The hospitalization followed an earlier incident in June, when Richie experienced dizziness during a concert in St. Paul, Minnesota, and ended the performance early. He subsequently postponed two shows before returning to the stage on June 30.
Richie is currently scheduled to resume his Sing a Song All Night Long tour with Earth, Wind & Fire on September 26 at Chase Center in San Francisco. Additional performances are listed for September 30 in Chicago and October 2 in Columbus, Ohio, according to the artists' official tour calendars.
