The “Anti-Hero” singer unveils original, acoustic and piano editions of her new single, each featuring collectible double-sided covers, ahead of their October 13 physical release
Taylor Swift has announced three limited-edition CD singles for her new song “Patient Zero,” scheduled for release on September 25, 2026, via Republic Records. The physical editions, expected to ship around October 13, feature the original recording alongside separate acoustic and piano versions, each presented with its own collectible artwork.
The three editions are available as individual, single-track CDs, with each version housed in a jewel case featuring a double-sided collectible cover with different photographs of Swift. Each disc also includes its own artwork, giving collectors three distinct physical configurations of the new single.
PATIENT ZERO – CD EDITIONS
1. Patient Zero – Original Version
2. Patient Zero – Acoustic Version
3. Patient Zero – Piano Version
The CDs were announced on September 22 following a countdown on Swift's official website. The U.S. editions were listed at $3.99 each, with a limit of one copy per customer and availability restricted to U.S. billing and shipping addresses. The initial ordering window is scheduled to close on September 23 at 1:59 p.m. ET, or earlier if supplies sell out. International editions are also listed through Swift's regional stores, with pricing and purchase limits varying by territory.
The announcement follows Swift's 2025 studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, and her recent single “I Knew It, I Knew You,” recorded for Disney and Pixar's Toy Story 5. The latter also received a Japanese physical soundtrack edition featuring a collectible picture disc and exclusive packaging.
No official music video for “Patient Zero” has been released as of September 23, 2026. The video section can be added when an official release becomes available.
