The “Good Vibrations” and “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” band postpones its return after nearly 30 summer cancellations, while founding member Al Jardine continues touring separately with The Pet Sounds Band
The Beach Boys have delayed their return to the stage once again, canceling their remaining September 2026 concerts and extending their break from touring into October. The group, led by founding member Mike Love, had been scheduled to resume performing on September 24 following a lengthy interruption that began in July.
The latest cancellations affect concerts in West Springfield, Massachusetts, on September 24; Quakertown, Pennsylvania, on September 25; and North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, on September 27. The North Myrtle Beach engagement included two performances, both of which have been canceled. No replacement dates have been announced for the affected shows.
In July, The Beach Boys postponed or canceled nearly 30 concerts to allow Love time to rest and recharge. The band had originally planned to resume touring in September while celebrating the 60th anniversary of its landmark 1966 album, Pet Sounds. The latest changes extend that break, with the next announced concert scheduled for October 9 in Bloomington, Illinois.
Meanwhile, fellow founding member Al Jardine continues performing separately with The Pet Sounds Band. Jardine replaced The Beach Boys at the Oregon State Fair on August 29 and has six additional concerts scheduled across California and Florida between October and December 2026.
