The “Blue Bayou” singer’s 2006 collaboration with Cajun musician Ann Savoy returns November 20, 2026, through Craft Recordings and HighTone Records, bringing its original 16 tracks to vinyl for the first time
Linda Ronstadt and Ann Savoy’s 2006 album Adieu False Heart will return on November 20, 2026, through Craft Recordings and HighTone Records, celebrating its 20th anniversary with its first-ever vinyl release and a long-awaited CD reissue.
The Grammy-nominated recording marked the final studio album of Ronstadt's career before her retirement. Recorded with acclaimed Cajun singer, songwriter and producer Ann Savoy, the collection features 16 tracks spanning folk, country, Cajun, bluegrass, pop and traditional music.
Ronstadt and Savoy first collaborated on the 2002 album Evangeline Made before developing a musical partnership under the name The Zozo Sisters. Their subsequent recording sessions brought together musicians from Louisiana and Nashville, including Buddy Miller, Sam Bush, Joel Savoy, Dirk Powell and Stuart Duncan. The album was produced by Steve Buckingham and engineered by Gary Paczosa.
The collection includes interpretations of The Left Banke's “Walk Away Renée,” Julie Miller's “I Can't Get Over You,” Bill Monroe's “The One I Love Is Gone” and Richard Thompson's “King of Bohemia.” Upon its original release, Adieu False Heart received two Grammy nominations, including Best Traditional Folk Album and Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical.
The 20th anniversary edition will be available as a single vinyl LP and CD, preserving the original 16-track sequence. The vinyl edition divides the album into seven tracks on Side A and nine on Side B, while the CD presents the complete recording in its original running order.
