The song draws 29.5 million audience impressions on the Oct. 3 chart as Lefty becomes the first solo-billed woman whose first Country Airplay entry has spent multiple weeks at No. 1 since Gretchen Wilson
Stella Lefty’s “Boston” holds at No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart for a second consecutive week, leading the ranking dated October 3, 2026, with 29.5 million audience impressions during the September 18–24 tracking period, according to Luminate.
The second week at the summit gives Lefty a distinction last achieved more than two decades ago. She becomes the first solo-billed woman whose debut Country Airplay single has spent multiple weeks at No. 1 since Gretchen Wilson, whose “Redneck Woman” ruled for five weeks in 2004.
“Boston” also makes Lefty only the sixth solo-credited woman whose first Country Airplay entry has led for more than one week. Its two-week run matches Deana Carter’s “Strawberry Wine” in 1996 and Trisha Yearwood’s “She’s in Love With the Boy” in 1991 for the fourth-longest No. 1 run among that group. Wilson’s “Redneck Woman” leads with five weeks, followed by Faith Hill’s “Wild One” with four in 1994 and Cyndi Thomson’s “What I Really Meant to Say” with three in 2001.
The new milestone follows Lefty’s first week at No. 1, when “Boston” reached the top of Country Airplay after 22 weeks on the chart. That made her the first solo-billed woman to reach No. 1 with her first Country Airplay hit since Lainey Wilson’s “Things a Man Oughta Know” in 2021, while the 22-week climb was the fastest for a debut No. 1 by a solo woman since “Redneck Woman” reached the summit in 12 weeks in 2004.
Lefty also becomes the fifth solo-billed woman during the 2020s to score a multiweek Country Airplay No. 1, joining Ella Langley, Lainey Wilson, Gabby Barrett and Maren Morris. Billboard reports that Langley has achieved the feat twice in 2026 with “Choosin’ Texas” and “Be Her.”
