The intimate concert at The Pinnacle featured six songs from Chesney’s new album, a surprise appearance by Greylan James and a live No Shoes Radio broadcast
Kenny Chesney celebrated the release of his new album Silver Sands Marina with a 22-song concert at The Pinnacle in Nashville on September 25. The sold-out album-release show brought Chesney into a venue far smaller than the stadiums that have defined much of his touring career, while No Shoes Radio carried the performance live on SiriusXM.
Chesney opened with “Summertime” before moving through “Here and Now,” “Beer in Mexico” and “Save It for a Rainy Day.” He then introduced a three-song stretch from Silver Sands Marina featuring “Burn My Boat,” “Goldfish” and “Talkin’ Dirt.”
The 22-song set ultimately featured six songs from Silver Sands Marina, with the title track, “Carry On” and “Remember Me That Way” also appearing during the show. Chesney additionally brought back “Ain’t Back Yet,” which the original report notes had not been performed live since 2015, alongside catalog songs including “Somewhere With You” and “I Go Back.”
Fellow East Tennessee songwriter and guitarist Greylan James made a surprise appearance for “Born,” the title track from Chesney’s 2024 album. James co-wrote the song and is scheduled to open dates on Chesney’s Original Vibe Room Tour in 2027.
Outside The Pinnacle at Nashville Yards, Hey Now Records recreated elements of the Silver Sands Marina artwork, including the pink building featured on the album cover, a giant postcard, an oversized fishbowl installation, carnival games, photo areas, food trucks and a store offering physical editions of the album.
