The theatrical re-release earns $26 million in North America and $60 million internationally while setting a new re-release opening record in the UK and Ireland
Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame Encore returned to theaters with an estimated $86 million worldwide opening weekend, sending the 2019 blockbuster back to No. 1 at the global box office seven years after its original release.
The September 25 re-release generated $26 million in North America and $60 million from international markets. In the UK and Ireland, Endgame Encore opened at No. 1 with £4.12 million, which Disney says is the biggest opening ever for a theatrical re-release in that market.
The new weekend pushed the lifetime worldwide total for Avengers: Endgame to $2.885 billion. Disney places the film at No. 2 on the all-time global box-office chart, approximately $39 million behind Avatar.
The performance also carried Marvel Studios past $35 billion in worldwide box-office revenue. The Walt Disney Company reported a cumulative $35.075 billion across 38 Marvel Studios films, describing the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the most successful film franchise in box-office history.

Avengers: Endgame Encore is more than a conventional re-release. The presentation includes an exclusive preview of Marvel Studios’ upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, while audiences attending IMAX and Infinity Vision-certified screenings receive an additional sneak peek at the film.
Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to open in U.S. theaters on December 18, 2026. Infinity Vision, introduced by Marvel Studios in 2026, is a certification for premium large-format theaters designed around screen size, image quality and immersive sound.
Originally released in 2019 and directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Endgame concluded Marvel’s Infinity Saga and became one of the highest-grossing movies in cinema history. The Encore release gives Marvel another theatrical event ahead of the franchise’s next Avengers chapter.
