The April 2027 run will reunite the John Mayer Trio with Steve Jordan and Pino Palladino while presenting Mayer’s catalog in three different formats
John Mayer has announced a six-night residency at Sphere in Las Vegas for April 2027, with each concert built around three different configurations: Mayer performing solo, a full-band set and a reunion of the John Mayer Trio.
The shows are scheduled for April 8, 10, 11, 15, 17 and 18. During the solo portion, Mayer will perform primarily on acoustic guitar while also incorporating piano and electric guitar. The trio section will reunite Mayer with drummer Steve Jordan and bassist Pino Palladino.
SiriusXM says the Sphere run will mark the John Mayer Trio’s first concert appearances together since 2017. Mayer already has extensive experience inside the Las Vegas venue through Dead & Company, which performed two Sphere runs across 2024 and 2025.
Tickets start at $129. Artist presales begin October 7 at 10 a.m. PT, followed by a SiriusXM presale on October 8 and the general public on-sale October 9 at 10 a.m. PT. Limited VIP packages are scheduled to become available beginning September 30.

A portion of the ticketing will also support charitable organizations connected to Mayer. One dollar from every ticket sold will benefit his Back To You Fund, while tickets for each show will be auctioned through Charity Auctions Today, with the auction proceeds benefiting the Heart and Armor Foundation, the veterans’ health organization Mayer founded in 2012.
Sphere says the concerts will use the venue’s immersive visual environment and Sphere Immersive Sound system. Mayer’s announcement described the six-night run with the phrase “Meet me where the light is”, referencing his 2008 live release Where the Light Is: John Mayer Live in Los Angeles.
