The country crossover also sets a new Digital Song Sales record with 19 weeks at No. 1, moving ahead of BTS’ “Dynamite” and “Butter”
Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” has extended its all-time Billboard Hot 100 record, spending a 24th total week at No. 1 on the chart dated October 3, 2026. The country crossover remains at the summit for a 14th consecutive week after becoming the longest-running No. 1 song in Hot 100 history one week earlier.
According to Luminate data reported by Billboard, “Choosin’ Texas” generated 22.3 million official U.S. streams during the September 18-24 tracking period, up 2% from the previous week. It also reached 57.9 million radio airplay audience impressions and sold 9,000 copies, with weekly sales rising 55%.
The song simultaneously adds a 24th week at No. 1 on Streaming Songs and ranks No. 3 on Radio Songs. Its latest Digital Song Sales result creates another Billboard record: “Choosin’ Texas” now has 19 weeks at No. 1 on that chart, moving past BTS’ “Dynamite” and “Butter,” which each led for 18 weeks.

Last week, Langley passed Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You”, which had accumulated 22 weeks atop the Hot 100. Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” and Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road,” featuring Billy Ray Cyrus, follow with 19 weeks each.
Released in October 2025 through SAWGOD/Columbia Records, “Choosin’ Texas” was written by Langley with Miranda Lambert, Luke Dick and Joybeth Taylor. The song appears on Langley’s second studio album, Dandelion, and first reached No. 1 on the Hot 100 in February 2026.
The latest chart week therefore does more than simply add another week to Langley’s existing record. “Choosin’ Texas” now owns the longest Hot 100 reign outright at 24 weeks while simultaneously establishing a new all-time benchmark on Digital Song Sales.
