The shock rock icon swings golf clubs while showcasing the fitness tracking power of Apple’s smartwatch.
Legendary rock artist Alice Cooper appears in a new Apple Watch commercial, adding his unmistakable presence to a sleek and humorous 15-second spot. The ad shows Cooper calmly hitting golf balls while casually tracking the calories he burns through the watch’s fitness metrics.
The Apple Watch is Apple’s first smartwatch, unveiled during a keynote presentation hosted by Tim Cook on September 9, 2014. It became available for pre-order in April of the following year and launched shortly after in markets such as the United States, Canada, Japan, Spain, Mexico and several additional countries. The watch features interchangeable bands and compatibility across its 38 and 42 millimeter models.
Apple is a multinational technology company based in Cupertino, California, known for producing consumer electronics, software, and services recognized worldwide.
Cooper’s appearance in the campaign feels fitting for another reason. The rock icon has been an avid golfer for more than three decades and has often spoken about how the sport helped him overcome past struggles with addiction. Today, golf remains one of his healthiest passions.
In the ad, music, technology, fitness, and golf collide in unexpected harmony. Somehow, it makes perfect sense when Alice Cooper is involved.
