ALCEST presenta versi?n remix del sencillo SAPPHIRE a cargo de PERTURBADOR

El año pasado, el influyente dúo francés ALCEST (pioneros de la blackgaze) lanzaron su sexto álbum de estudio titulado 'SPIRITUAL INSTINCT' a través de NUCLEAR BLAST. Recibido calurosamente por la prensa y los fanáticos, el álbum le otorgó a la banda su posición más alta en varios países, incluidos Alemania (# 12) y Suiza (# 30).

Hoy, la banda presenta una versión alternativa de su canción 'SAPPHIRE', remezclada por la leyenda del electro / synth wave JAMES KENT, también conocido como PERTURBATOR. La canción se incluyó junto con otras dos pistas en el EP adicional que solo estaba disponible con versiones de lujo del 'SPIRITUAL INSTINCT' o en español ‘INSTINTO ESPIRITUAL', pero ahora está disponible digitalmente por primera vez.

Sobre el nuevo sencillo, el fundador Neige comenta: "El artista francés James Kent PERTURBATOR es un maestro tocando con el lado más oscuro de la música electrónica de los 80 'y estábamos realmente emocionados de escuchar cómo sonaría una repetición de «SAPPHIRE» por él". El tema ya estaba inspirado en bandas como THE CURE, por lo que fue sorprendente recibir la versión de James, que la convirtió en una impresionante pista de olas oscuras".

El próximo mes, ALCEST comenzará su gira europea en apoyo del 'INSTINTO ESPIRITUAL'. La gira de 28 fechas contará con el apoyo del hardcore punks franceses BIRDS IN ROW y el trío de synth-punk islandés KÆLAN MIKLA.

Grabado en el estudio francés Drudenhaus con Benoît Roux y escrito en ráfagas tanto durante como después de un período prolongado de gira en apoyo del enormemente exitoso 'KODAMA' de 2016, el nuevo y muy catártico álbum está llevando a los pioneros de la blackgaze a paisajes sonoros oscuros. Last year, influential French “blackgaze” duo ALCEST released their sixth studio album 'Spiritual Instinct' through Nuclear Blast. Warmly-received by press and fans alike, the album scored the band their highest chart position in several countries, including Germany (#12) and Switzerland (#30).

Today, the band presents an alternate version of their deeply emotional track 'Sapphire', remixed by electro/synth wave legend James Kent aka Perturbator. The song was included alongside two other tracks on the bonus EP that was only available with deluxe versions of 'Spiritual Instinct', but is now being made available digitally for the first time.

On the new single, founder Neige comments: "French artist James Kent from Perturbator is a master at playing with the darker side of 80’ electronic music and we were really excited to hear how a rework of « Sapphire » by him would sound. « Sapphire » was already inspired by bands like The Cure so it was amazing to receive James’ version, who turned it into a stunning dark wave track."

Next month, ALCEST will kick off their European tour in support of 'Spiritual Instinct.' The 28 date headline run will be supported by French hardcore punks BIRDS IN ROW and the Icelandic synth-punk trio KÆLAN MIKLA.

Recorded at French Drudenhaus Studio with Benoît Roux and written in bursts both during and after a prolonged period of touring in support of 2016's hugely successful 'Kodama,' the new and very cathartic album is leading the blackgaze pioneers into dark soundscapes. The artwork was once again designed by Førtifem.
