CRIMSON SHADOWS estrena nuevo video musical oficial para BETRAYED BY THY KING

El quinteto canadiense de power / death metal melódico CRIMSON SHADOWS ha regresado hoy con su nuevo y poderoso EP digital, THE RESURRECTION, a través de NAPALM RECORDS.

El EP presenta una reinvención de la canción de 2007 de la banda, BETRAYED BY THY KING, así como versiones de "AGAINST THE WIND” de STRATOVARIUS y "BLACKFIRE" de DRAGONFORCE. ¡Esto marca la nueva era de CRIMSON SHADOWS!

Hoy, la banda ha revelado un nuevo video inspirado históricamente para la reinvención de su propia canción "BETRAYED BY THY KING", un quemador de metal abrasador y potente.

El vocalista Jimi Patrick Maltais dice sobre el concepto y la pista del video:

Canadian melodic power/death metal quintet CRIMSON SHADOWS have returned with their powerful new digital EP, The Resurrection, out today via Napalm Records. The EP features a reimagining of the band’s 2007 track, “Betrayed By Thy King”, as well as blistering covers of STRATOVARIUS’s "Against The Wind" and DRAGONFORCE’s "Blackfire". This marks the new age of CRIMSON SHADOWS!

Today, the band has revealed a brand new, historically-inspired video for the reimagining of their own track “Betrayed By Thy King” – a scorching, breakneck power metal burner.

Vocalist Jimi Patrick Maltais says about the video concept and track:
"The subject matter of the song is about a general in an army being betrayed by his king. The reason for the betrayal is that the king has gone mad and views his greatest general, who has always been loyal, as a threat. It takes influence from Game of Thrones and the blockbuster movie Gladiator."

The Resurrection EP introductory track “Betrayed By Thy King” begins softly with intricate guitars emphasized by metallic accents before skyrocketing into a racing power metal-influenced extravaganza! Pleasing harmonic melodies surround a chorus that will have listeners singing along in no time. The band’s skill is evident as they attack their cover of “Blackfire” and pay homage to power metal greats DRAGONFORCE, leading up to prominent EP closer “Against The Wind”, originally performed by STRATOVARIUS.

"This EP is our "Resurrection". We journeyed back to the music and bands that inspired us in our youth and put together two covers, STRATOVARIUS’s "Against the Wind" and DRAGONFORCE’s "Blackfire". These bands brought us together as musicians and brothers to build CRIMSON SHADOWS to what it has become. We also made the decision to re-record the song "Betrayed By Thy King" from our 2007 EP to better express these influences and how they came to be a part of our music and to reintroduce our fans to our earlier material.”
