Swedish symphonic metal band TUNGSTEN, featuring ex-HAMMERFALL drummer Anders Johansson, his sons Karl (bass, keyboards) and Niklas (guitars), and vocalist Mike Andersson, has unveiled its new album, "The Grand Inferno," which will be released on October 18, 2024, via Reigning Phoenix Music (RPM). The album includes 11 tracks that showcase the band's dynamic range and songwriting prowess, marked by heavy riffs and captivating melodies.
The band recently released their latest single, "Blood Of The Kings," accompanied by an official music video that is now available on YouTube. The track blends heavy metal with Nordic folk music, enriched by TUNGSTEN's symphonic elements.
Fans can pre-order "The Grand Inferno" in various formats (CD-digipak, colored vinyl) and pre-save it on their preferred digital service providers to receive the singles "Blood Of The Kings" and "Walborg" instantly.
Band Members Reflect on the Song:
Anders Johansson: "It starts with a heavy riff and transitions into a commercial power metal song. Karl wrote most of it, and I composed the intro theme."
Karl Johansson: "The main riff originated from a drum beat Anders created during a jam session. The chorus came from a dream I had, and the lyrics reflect our Viking heritage discovered through genealogy."

The video, shot in a cinema and featuring TUNGSTEN's mascot Volfram, was directed by guitarist Niklas Johansson, who infused the video with a blend of humor and creepiness.
