Swedish powerhouse heavy metal band DREAM EVIL is back! Seven years after their last album, “SIX,” the Gothenburg-based group, renowned for “The Book Of Heavy Metal,” announces their seventh studio album, “Metal Gods.” The album will be released worldwide via Century Media Records on July 26, 2024.
The album's first single and title track, “Metal Gods,” is now available along with a powerful video directed by Patric Ullaeus.
Band Statement on "Metal Gods":
DREAM EVIL states, “It has been seven years since we released 'SIX,' so we are stoked to return with 'Metal Gods.' We are extremely happy with the outcome, and it stands as a loud and clear statement for DREAM EVIL and a nod to traditional melodic heavy metal. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!”
About the Title Track and Video:
The band adds, “The title track is a tribute to our heavy metal heroes, past and present. Working with Patric Ullaeus is always a blast, and the magic he creates is incredible. Play LOUD and enjoy!”
Production and Artwork:
“Metal Gods” was recorded and mixed by DREAM EVIL guitarist Fredrik Nordström at Studio Fredman. The cover artwork is by Seth Siro Anton. The album introduces new drummer Sören Fardvik and features guest guitar appearances by Jonathan Thorpenberg (The Unguided), Tommy Johansson (ex-Sabaton), and Chris Amott (ex-Arch Enemy/Dark Tranquillity).
